Fire crews worked quickly to stop a combine fire from getting out of control outside of Madison.

MADISON COUNTY - Fire crews worked quickly to stop a combine fire from getting out of control outside of Madison.

Madison Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched to a cornfield fire about 3 miles west and 2 miles north of Madison around 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Madison Fire Captain John Orlowski says Madison Fire and Rescue, Madison Police, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, along with neighbors responded to the area to help fight the fire.

Orlowski says there was no injuries reported during the incident and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
