STANTON - Faulty equipment is being blamed for a fire that severely damaged a northeast Nebraska machine shed.

It happened Thursday afternoon around 4:15 p.m. Norfolk fire officials say they were sent out to a tractor fire at a rural machine shed.

16 firefighters from Norfolk, Stanton and Madison teamed up to battle the blaze, which had spread to the front and roof of the shed.

No one was hurt. Investigators say an engine heater on a tractor in the shed failed, causing the fire.
