Motorhome engulfs in flames, no injuries but total loss

NORFOLK, Neb. --  Norfolk Fire Division responded to an early morning structure fire Saturday.

NFD said that they were dispatched to the 2500 block of S 1st Street for a trailer that was on fire. 

Authorities said that the first arriving units saw a motorhome that was fully engulfed in flames. 

According to the Fire Division, initial crews extinguished the fire. 

The fire took about 15 firefighters, five rigs, and about 30 minutes, to control the fire. It took another 60 minutes to overhaul the structure. 

NFD said that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. 

According to NFD, there was not an owner or occupant present at the time of the fire. 

The property is estimated to be worth about $5,000 and is considered to be a total loss along with contents. 

Madison County Sheriff's Office and Norfolk Police Division assisted Norfolk Fire and Rescue. 

There were no injuries reported. 

NCN spoke with the owner, and he said the home was a 34-foot Bounder motorhome
