Beemer man arrested following break-in
BEEMER, Neb. -- A Beemer man was arrested after reportedly breaking into a home when there were people home.
The Beemer Police Department said they were dispatched to the home around 9:45 p.m. for a report of a man breaking into a Beemer home, about 39 miles southeast of Wayne.
Further investigation led police to determine that 52-year-old Kevin Hansen had forced entry into the home by kicking in a door.
Police said that after entering the home, he went through the house and then left on foot.
BPD said they found Hansen a few blocks away from the home and arrested him.
He was taken to the Thurston County Jail by the Cuming County Sheriff's Office.
He has been charged with felony burglary, third-degree domestic assault, criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, and disturbing the peace.
Hansen's bond has been set at $20,000.
