NORFOLK - In a back and forth game, the Lincoln Northeast Rockets made the crucial plays late to outlast the Norfolk Panthers in a 57-45 win on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams featured great players and moments to give their team the lead. After the first quarter, it was a 14-13 Panther lead.

The Rockets got a big burst from Hayden Tenopir in the second quarter when Keaton Weatherholt got in foul trouble, allowing them to hold a 28-26 lead at the break.

In the second half, it was Duoth Yiel who came up making big plays on the interior.

Lincoln Northeast extended the lead to 40-34 after three quarters and held on for the 12-point win.

Weatherholt led the scoring with 16 points, followed by 14 points from Tenopir and 13 points from Yiel.

Norfolk's Aidan Pasencia added 15 points in the loss.
