NORFOLK, Neb. — Police in northeast Nebraska are cracking down on a series of vandalism and theft incidents.

Norfolk Police announced Tuesday that officers cited three teenage boys for the crimes. The investigation dates back to early December, when police received multiple reports of damage to vehicles in southwest Norfolk, including some incidents of slashed tires. Police say items were stolen from some of the vehicles, too.

According to a news release, video surveillance showed that four teenage boys were responsible. Investigators from multiple agencies assisted in identifying three of the four boys. All three were interviewed and then cited for criminal mischief and theft.

Investigators continue to try to identify the fourth suspect.
