STANTON - Stanton High School Just got a lot more colorful, thanks the to addition of murals painted around the building.
Earlier this year, the national bottled water brand LIFEWTR, in partnership with American singer and songwriter Macklemore, gave teachers, students and parents a chance to nominate a high school to be beautified.
Stanton High School is one of about 30 schools across the country that are being beautified this year as part of the program.
The High School was the one and only winning school from the contest held by LIFEWTR in partnership with Macklemore .
Four local artists were chosen to create murals across the building with themes of Stanton and the surrounding area.
The artists included Justin Queal, Rebecca Harrison, Josh Arias and Spencer Pacheco.
Justin Queal says the murals are important to communities like Stanton because of their impact on the younger generation.
LIFEWTR says they are setting out to bring a change in 2019, with the goal of impacting 10 million students through arts education and local beautification projects.
