From 1950's Micky Mantle baseball cards to 2019 basketball cards, the Sunset Plaza Mall in Norfolk had everything a sports card collector would want over the weekend.

Around six different dealers brought hundreds of thousands of sports cards to the mall for the 11th annual Prep 2 Pro Sports Card Show.

Everything from vintage baseball to Husker football cards were featured for collectors, traders, or just local shoppers to see.

The show was also perfect for those looking to get into the sports card market, whether as a hobby or to make extra cash.

"The sports card market is really huge right now," John Heitman, an employee of Prep 2 Pro Sports, said. "If you are lingering on getting into it, this would be the time to get into it."

Even though trading and selling plays a large part in collecting sports cards, people also collect as a hobby or simply for the fun of it.

"Everybody has, or should have, a hobby," Dick Warneke, one of the traders at the show, said. He goes on to explain that sports card trading is, "just a fun, clean activity."

The Sports Card Show at the Sunset Plaza Mall ends Sunday at 6 p.m.
