BankFirst Holds Food Drive
NORFOLK - A Midwest-based bank is holding it's first food drive to help the community.
BankFirst has announced that the Community First Food Drive begins Thursday November 7th and goes until November 25th.
All branch locations will participate in the drive, including the branches in Nebraska and Iowa.
CEO and President Clark Froelich says the idea started after seeing struggling farmers in the community.
“It’s been a tough year, it’s been a tough year before the floods. Farming is not a real lucrative business right now and we have a lot of people in the Midwest that are really hurting. We thought this is a way to reach out to all of them and see how we can help.” Froelich says.
Each branch will donate their food to a local pantry. The Norfolk branch will donate to Good Neighbors.
A donation box will be in every lobby, and will be accepting canned, dry and shelf stable foods.
Below is a list of bank branches and food pantries that will be donated to:

Ord: Ord Area Food Pantry
Wakefield: Wakefield Food Pantry
West Point: West Point Food Pantry
Columbus: Platte Country Food Pantry
