SCOTTSBLUFF - A music educator from Scottsbluff High School has been recognized for his passion, innovation and leadership. 

Vocal Music Director Brad Ronne was named Nebraska’s National Federation of State High School Association’s Outstanding Music Educator for 2019-2020. He received his award at a banquet on Nov. 22.

Ronne was nominated by the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) in collaboration with the Nebraska Music Educators Association (NMEA). Nominations are based upon outstanding service and unselfish devotion to interscholastic music by high school or college music educators. The first award was given in 1989.

Ronne holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Hastings College and a Masters Degree in Technology from Lesley University.

He has served as the Vocal Music Director at Scottsbluff since 2006. He was the visionary behind the school adopting the music technology program that has grown into a state-of-the-art computer lab, full recording studio and three course levels.
