NORFOLK - A Norfolk man has been arrested for domestic assault and child abuse after police say he pushed a woman and smashed her cell phone.

According to Norfolk Police, officers were called to a home in the 1400 block of South 3rd Street early Saturday morning for a disturbance.

When officers arrived, they could hear yelling coming from inside the residence.

Officers were able to make contact with 38-year-old Dustin Peterson and a woman.

The woman told officers that Peterson had been drinking alcohol and that an argument began.

She told police that it escalated to Peterson pushing the victim several times, once almost knocking over a child’s swing with an infant in it.

He also smashed her cell phone.
