NORFOLK, Neb. -- Following an investigation of a house fire in northeast Nebraska, law enforcement concluded it was not accidental.

A person is in jail for allegedly starting Monday's house fire in Norfolk.

Norfolk Police tells News Channel Nebraska 30-year-old Austyn Ladd was arrested Monday.

Police said Ladd is accused of starting the fire that burned a home at the intersection of 12th and Phillip Ave. in Norfolk.

NPD said interviews with those associated with the residents of the home and surveillance video led to Ladd being named as a suspect.

Ladd was already set to be arraigned in Madison County Tuesday on a criminal mischief charge from a vandalism incident in Norfolk last week.
