Norfolk Man Sentenced in Federal Court for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine
NORFOLK - A Norfolk man will spend more than 5 years in prison for his role in a drug distribution ring.
US Attorney Joe Kelly says 42-year-old Christopher Harmeier was sentenced in federal court on Monday for conspiracy to distribute meth.
Authorities say in 2017, law enforcement began investigating an organization that was transporting large amounts of meth into Lincoln.
The meth was then redistributed to local distributors, which included Harmeier in Norfolk.
Police say when the drug trafficking organization was taken down, Harmeier was in possession of two pounds of meth and $10,000.
Harmeier was sentenced to 63 months in prison.
The case was investigated by the DEA, the Lincoln Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.
