STANTON, Neb. -- A Stanton man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday in northeast Nebraska.

Stanton County Sheriff's Office responded to and investigated a motorcycle accident on Highway 57 just south of Stanton around 2:15 p.m.

Officials said the accident sent, 79-year-old Richard Kuehn of Stanton, to the hospital.

Authorities said Kuehn was turning around at the intersection of HWY 75 and the Golf Course Road, when he lost control of his three-wheel motorcycle. This caused him to be ejected from the motorcycle. He ended up getting trapped underneath the motorcycle as it landed on top of him.

Stanton County Sheriff's Office said they removed the wreckage, and Kuehn was later transported to FRHS in Norfolk by Stanton Fire/Rescue.

Officials say Kuehn was wearing an approved helmet at the time of the accident.

Stanton County Emergency Management also responded to the scene.
