PONCA, Neb. -- Here comes Santa Claus right down... 882 road.

It's a yearly tradition for Gene Watchorn to create his own winter wonderland in his own home and backyard.

People from all over the state and country visit the Watchorn residence to see their light display every December, which gene started doing for his grandkids years ago.

"Been doing it for over 20 years and spoiling my grandkids is how it got bigger," said Watchorn. "I've been collecting for over 50 years."

Gene begins putting the display together in September.

The home features over 100,000 lights, over 300 blow models, 100 inflatables, and thousands of figurines.

The Watchorn residence sees about 12,000-16,000 visitors each December.

And even after 20 years, Gene is still influenced by kids ages one to 92 to continue the display.

"The kids and grownups enjoy it too," he said. "It brings smiles to people's faces."

Gene even won the 2018 great Christmas Light Fight featured on ABC.

You can still catch a tour of the Watchorn residence until January 2nd.

There is no charge but a donation is encouraged.

You can visit the home at 58960 882 Road and can call Gene at: (402) 755 - 2655.
