Eight people hospitalized after crash near Genoa

FULLERTON, Neb. -- Eight people were hospitalized following a crash at the intersection of Highway 22 and 63A Link just outside of Genoa on Sunday.
According to the Nance County Sheriff's Office, the initial investigation indicated that an SUV driving on 63A failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled in front of a van traveling westbound on Highway 22 near Genoa.
Nance County Deputies responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Hwy 22 and 63a link. Initial findings of the investigation show an SUV driving on 63a failed to stop at the stop sign and pulled in front of a van traveling westbound on Hwy 22.
Parties from both vehicles were transported from the scene by ambulance due to injuries.
There has been no official word provided on the severity of the injuries.
Genoa Rescue, Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, Saint Edward Volunteer Fire Department, Monroe Fire and Rescue and the Nebraska State Patrol assisted at the scene.
