One person arrested after three-vehicle crash in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Neb. -- One person was arrested and at least one person was hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in northeast Nebraska Thursday night.
Norfolk Police Capt. Chad Reiman said Friday morning that a van driven by 39-year-old Chris Wood of Norfolk rear-ended another vehicle, totaling both vehicles. A third vehicle sustained limited damage.
The crash occurred shortly after 9:15 p.m. at Omaha Avenue and 13th Street.
Reiman said one person from the vehicle that was struck by Wood's vehicle was transported to the hospital, while Wood was later arrested.
According to Reiman, Wood faces charges of obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and willful reckless driving. Reiman also said that officers are in the process of conducting a DUI investigation related to the crash.
No official details were available regarding the extent of injuries suffered. The accident remains under investigation.
