NORFOLK, Neb. -- Several school districts across the country are participating in the "One School One Book" program aimed at getting kids excited to read, and a northeast Nebraska school is getting into the spirit of things.

Norfolk Catholic Elementary Principal Bill LaFleur announced Monday morning that his school will be reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and he took the announcement as an opportunity to dress up as the famed Willy Wonka from the book.

The school also decorated the commons area to the mark the occasion.

The entire school will now be reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, starting with the first two chapters today.

"One School One Book" is part of the "Read to Them" program. Over 3,000 schools nationwide participate in Read to Them, including 50 schools in Nebraska.
