Connect recently announced a fun event for adults called the ‘Barstool Open’ that will be happening around the Norfolk area on March 12th.

The event is a 9-hole miniature golf outing throughout the town’s bars. The objective of it all is to complete as many holes as possible by the end of the event. It's completely up to the different bars around town to design how the miniature golf holes will look. It's also up to the individuals who signed up to bring their own putter and golf balls.

Jacob Arkfeld, who has worked to coordinate the event, provided more details on Wednesday.

“So, you can have teams up to four. If you don’t have four people for a team, we can connect you with another two or a one. We can put you on a team of four,” said Arkfeld.

Since the event involves consuming alcohol, Arkfeld wanted to stress a very important aspect when you sign up to participate.

“Designated driver is required. That’s very important because you will be traveling from bar to bar,” added Arkfeld.

The event starts at 11:00 am and ends at 5:30 pm. If you or somebody you know would like to sign up, you can go to the event's Facebook page or go to to learn more about the event.
