Wayne State College recently named Logan Masters its new head football coach after John McMenamin resigned on February 3rd to become wide receivers coach at Tulane University. Masters played at Wayne State as a wide receiver before becoming a coach.

He talked about how keeping things as similar as possible is important for team flow.

"It was very important keeping our staff together," said Masters. "Just like our football team, our staff is a team. We build those relationships with our recruits and our guys and change is hard for everybody, it's human nature. So, trying to keep it as much as the same as possible."

Masters also addressed what he thinks are the expectations coming out of last year into this new regime.

“We just got to keep building," said Masters. "We're gonna be young again. We're probably going to be young for a few years just with the way we're built. But, what I told the guys, the faces may change but the standards and expectations don't."

Wayne State College will officially start spring practices on March 22nd, according to Masters.
