NORFOLK, NE — News Channel Nebraska is now available in more Nebraska homes than ever.

NCN recently launched on DISH Network channel 30 in the Lincoln/Tri Cities Designated Market Area (DMA) and the North Platte DMA. The two DMAs cover nearly 300,000 households. The new availability is part of the company’s continued expansion, and it means that Antelope, Boone, Holt, Boyd and Wheeler Counties now have access to NCN via DISH.
 

“This deal with DISH means more Nebraskans are able to watch our local programming,” CEO Andy Ruback said. “The expansion allows us to better meet our goal of connecting communities across the state.”

News Channel Nebraska, founded in 2015, is an independent television network that airs Nebraska-focused news with breaks for live event coverage and specialty programming, like variety show Quarantine Tonight.
 
 

News Channel Nebraska is already available on DISH in the Sioux City DMA, which includes nine northeast Nebraska counties. Most Nebraska cable companies (including Spectrum, Allo and Cox) carry the station and it is available over the air in seven areas. The station also streams for free on its website, its mobile app and its app available on Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV.

The added availability on DISH Network coincides with the company’s recent radio expansion in the Tri Cities. Flood Communications, which owns News Channel Nebraska, purchased Platte River Radio in November. That deal added radio stations KHAS, ESPN Tri-Cities, KLIQ-FM The Breeze and KKPR-FM Power 99 to the company’s arsenal.
