NORFOLK, Neb. -- Authorities responded to a violation of a protection order in Norfolk that was followed by an arrest on Monday.

Norfolk Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of Elm Avenue around 2:15 p.m. for a protection order violation.

NPD said that a Nebraska State Probation Officer was visiting a residence and saw 35-year-old Alico Vetter of Norfolk, there.

NPD officials said that he was aware of a protection order banning Vetter from contacting the resident of the house.

Authorities said that officers spoke to Vetter about the protection order and why he was at the residence.

Officials said that after they confirmed the order was still active, Vetter was arrested for the protection order violation.

Vetter was held in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
