Hastings man arrested in Stanton County for DWI, felony drug charges

STANTON, Neb. -- Authorities in northeast Nebraska arrested a Hastings man Sunday morning following a call for a reckless driver.
The Stanton County Sheriff's office said that just after midnight, they were notified of a reckless driving vehicle heading east out of Norfolk on Highway 275. The report said that he was driving all over the roadway.
Stanton County officials said that a short time later, the vehicle was observed near 560th Avenue and they had contact with the lone occupant, 30-year-old Christopher Mueller.
Mueller was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for a DWI-2nd offense. He was found to be driving on a revoked license and found in felony possession of psilocybin mushrooms.
Mueller was booked at the sheriff's office on those charges and was found to have an arrest warrant out of Thomas County, Kansas for burglary,.
He was also found to be currently out on bond in Adams County for a felony drug possession charge.
Mueller was jailed and faces an initial court date later this month.
