NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Norfolk radio station is continuing its popular concert series by bringing a couple of special guests to the community this summer.

US92’s Green Light Great Night will add to its slate of events with a June 24th event at the Midtown Event Center in Norfolk featuring Lonestar and Chris Cagle.

Lonestar has charted more than 20 singles on the Hot Country Songs chart, including 9 that reached No. 1: "No News", "Come Cryin' to Me", "Amazed", "Smile", "What About Now", "Tell Her", "I'm Already There", "My Front Porch Looking In", and "Mr. Mom".

Opener Chris Cagle made his debut on Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts with "My Love Goes On and On", and has charted additional top songs such as "Laredo," "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out,” "What a Beautiful Day" and "Chicks Dig It".

“I am looking forward to taking Green Light Great Night to the next level,” said Shawn Severson, the concert event promoter of US92.

“We thought it would be fun to start a huge concert event. For the first time ever, US92 and Green Light Great Night is having our own brand new concert at the Midtown Event Center outdoor venue,” said Caelan Debban, the host of the US92 Morning Show. “We’ve never done anything like this before and it’s just going to be a giant Green Light Great Night event with US92.”

The event is gearing up to be a historic one, Debban said.

“This summer concert will be historic for many reasons,” said Jessica Walker, General Manager of Flood Communications. “Not only will it be the first outdoor concert we will be hosting through our Green Light Great Night series, but also because it’ll be the first outdoor show at the new outdoor venue in Norfolk. We are excited to put on a show at the Midtown Event Center, we’ve all been waiting for more entertainment – live music is back, and we’ll be celebrating like never before.”

The Midtown Event Center has been preparing for this concert and is excited to put on their first outdoor concert for Norfolk citizens this June.

“It’s definitely a first. When we built the Midtown Event Center, it was really designed for weddings, ceremonies, and receptions. So, this is a big stretch for us,” said Scott Stevens, owner of the Midtown Event Center. “I think we’re going to have a really nice crowd and if it turns out well and people enjoy it and feel it went well, then maybe this will be something we do one, two, three times a year.”

General admissions tickets are $38 and $44 the day of the show.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday.
