Former Norfolk graduate Kali Bissell set to represent Team USA in Deaflympics

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Norfolk High School graduate is gearing up to represent Team USA in the 2021 Deaflympics.
Kali Bissell will be one of many athletes that make up Team USA's Deaflympic volleyball team. To qualify for the games, athletes must have a hearing loss of at least 55 decibels in the best ear.
In order to keep all athletes from having an advantage over the other, hearing aids are not allowed to be used in competition. The Deaflympics were originally supposed to take place last year. The event been held every four years since 1914, barring World War II and other global events.
