Stolen vehicle gets used in pursuit

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Norfolk Police said that a vehicle was taken from a residence and later used in a pursuit. 

Saturday morning around 2:30, Norfolk Police said they were called to a residence in the 1000 block of North 8th Street to take a report for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. 

Officials said that the victim had been contacted by law enforcement in Brown County about the status of their vehicle. 

NPD said that the victim's vehicle had been stolen from their Norfolk residence, and had later been involved in a pursuit in northcentral Nebraska. 

Authorities said that the suspect, 24-year-old Colin McConnel-Vontz of McCook, had been taken into custody by law enforcement. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
