A huge financial milestone for LeBron James was reported Thursday.

He is reportedly the first current NBA player to become a billionaire.

Forbes reported the 37-year-old Los Angeles Lakers superstar now has a net worth of $1 billion.

According to the magazine, James is already the league's highest-paid active player.

James has brought in upwards of $900 million from endorsements and other business ventures.

He made over $121 million last year alone.

Before him, basketball legend Michael Jordan was the only other NBA player to hit ten figures, but he did not become a billionaire until after he retired.
