NORFOLK, Neb. -- A number of northeast Nebraska counties have been under severe thunderstorm warnings throughout the evening.

Though the northeast corner of the state will still likely receive some scattered storms throughout the night, the National Weather Service predicts that the worst of the weather conditions will remain confined to the southern half of Nebraska.

Much of the state has been pelted by rain, hail and heavy winds throughout the afternoon and evening.

If in one of the affected areas, take cover immediately.
