Norfolk Arts Center to hold 'Messy' Art Camp

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A northeast Nebraska art center is holding a special art camp this week.
The Norfolk Arts Center will be holding a Messy Art Camp on Thursday and Friday.
Participants will get to create different kinds of special projects including making slime and straw watercolors.
There will also be different painting projects including splatter and finger painting.
Elley Coffin, the program director for the arts center, said the camp is a great creative outlet for children.
"It's a great way of getting your kids out for summer," said Coffin. "It's so important for kids not only developmentally, but just in the fact of having fun and expressing themselves. I think the special thing about this specific camp is they get to be hands-on with the materials."
Registration costs $35 for one student and $60 for two students.
There are a few, limited spots available.
