Nebraska's 77th Mother of the Year shares advice
CREIGHTON, Neb. -- A beloved mother in Creighton sat down with NCN after having won the American Mothers' 77th Nebraska Mother of the Year Award.
"I am still in awe," Kimmera Vogt said about having been nominated by her sister-in-law.
Vogt has three children with her late husband, Dave, who died in 2021. During her motherhood roles, she said, she's learned a lot.
"Sometimes you're going to be frazzled and it's not going to go how you want it to go. We think it's going to be a perfect child," she said, "but there's ups and downs."
Vogt was a nurse and now works as a massage therapist at Healing Hands Wellness Center.
Currently, Vogt has been traveling to Nebraska to promote the American Mothers Inc. Established in 1935, the organization works to teach, support, and honor mothers around the nation.
