MADISON, Neb. --  A golf course in northeast Nebraska will be holding two tournaments this weekend.

Taylor Creek Golf Course in Madison is holding an 18-hole scramble and a horseshoes tournament this Saturday.

Teams of two will participate in both tournaments and the winners of each competition will receive a cash prize.

Taylor Creek Golf Course owner Joey Ray said the idea to hold both tournaments came from course members.

"We have quite a few members that are interested in horseshoes and like to play horseshoes," he said. "I do numerous tournaments throughout the year but this one is more of a fun one to get people out of the house."

The event begins at 9 a.m. and is expected to last until 2 p.m.

Tem team spots are currently open. If anyone is interested in signing up, they can contact Joey Ray at 402-640-3006.
