EWING, Neb. -- The Holt County Sheriff's Office said they investigated an accident just before 3:15 p.m. 

Officials said a call came into the Boyd/Holt County Dispatch Center about a two-vehicle accident with a person trapped inside, Ewing, Page, and Orchard Fire and Rescues responded to the scene. 

According to the investigation, a 2005 Chrysler van driven by Sharon Harvey of Page, Neb. was traveling north on State Hwy 45B and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection before striking the pickup. 

It was reported that Harvey failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection ad cross U.S. Hwy 20. 

Authorities said the van struck a 2020 Chevrolet pickup driven by Brian Ferguson of Orchard, Neb. Ferguson was driving west and spun out of control, rolling his pickup into the ditch. 

The Holt County Sheriff's Office said Ferguson was trapped in the pickup until Fire and Rescue personnel were able to free him. Officials said they had to roll the pickup on to its wheels to free him. 

It was reported that witnesses of the accident said that Harvey's van did not stop at the stop sign just before striking Ferguson's pickup. 

Harvey was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and Ferguson was not transported. 

Other responding units were Ewing, Page and Orchard Fire and Rescue. 

The Nebraska State Patrol assisted the Holt County Sheriff's Office in this investigation.
