BATTLE CREEK, Neb. -- A golf course in northeast Nebraska is holding a unique golf tournament next weekend.

Evergreen Hill Golf Course in Battle Creek is holding its Third Annual Glowball Golf Tournament on August 6th.

54 teams of two are signed up for the event.

Golfers will tee off at 8:30 that night using glow-in-the-dark golf balls.

Tee boxes, greens, and fairways will all be lit up along the course.

Camron Anderson, the organizer of the event, said this tournament has helped the course bring in new members in years past.

"We've actually had very good luck getting a lot of outside golfers in. The last couple of years, the golf course has seen its membership grow," Anderson said. "Other courses around here are struggling with membership decline and getting people to turn out for tournaments. It's kind of nice to have your hometown course have something that's kicking off very well."

Anderson mentioned that very few golf tournaments in northeast Nebraska hold tournaments at night.

The public is invited to come out to the course to watch.
