HOLT COUNTY, Neb. -- Health officials in northeast Nebraska say West Nile Virus is still circulating.

The North Central District Health Department said West Nile has been detected in a mosquito pool in Holt County.

Health officials did not identify any cases of West Nile in humans in their area.

To keep it that way, they're urging residents to protect themselves against mosquito bites by limiting time outdoors at dawn and dusk, wear insect repellant with Deet, and wear long-sleeve shirts and pants when outside when possible.
