NPD: Multiple trespassing calls received Saturday; Norfolk man arrested
A northeast Nebraska man was arrested after Norfolk Police received three separate calls of a man attempting to enter western Norfolk residences.
NORFOLK, Neb. -- A northeast Nebraska man was arrested after Norfolk Police received three separate calls of a man attempting to enter western Norfolk residences.
NPD received the calls during the evening hours on Saturday, with callers saying the man was either attempting to enter their home or actually getting in, Capt. Michael Bauer said.
During the final call, a reportedly entered the home while the residents were in the basement watching television.
According to Bauer, the resident heard the individual on the first floor of the residence and confronted the man as he started walking down the stairs. The alleged trespasser was escorted out of the home, Bauer said.
Responding officers located the man and identified him as Randy J. Blacktaildeer, 31, of Norfolk.
He was arrested for first-degree criminal trespassing. He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
