MOORHEAD, Minn. -- #1 Wayne State had three players post 10 or more kills as the Wildcats cruised to a 25-15, 25-9, 25-16 Northern Sun Conference volleyball victory Saturday afternoon at MSU Moorhead.  WSC stays unbeaten at 21-0 and continues to lead the NSIC with an 11-0 league mark while the Dragons drop to 5-14 and 2-9 in NSIC play.

WSC never trailed in the opening set for a 25-15 win.  Taya Beller notched six kills to get the ‘Cats off to a strong start followed by Maggie Brahmer with five.

The second set saw the ‘Cats hit .538 with no hitting errors while recording five service aces to cruise in a 25-9 set win.  Kelsie Cada had three consecutive service aces in the set and five kills to pace the ‘Cats.

Wayne State completed the sweep with a 25-16 third set win thanks to four kills each from Cada and Taya Beller and two service aces by Brooke Peltz.

Wayne State posted a .322 hitting percentage, recording 44 kills and just seven errors on 115 attacks.  MSU Moorhead was held to a .117 percentage on 29 kills, 15 errors and 120 attempts.  WSC held a 71-60 advantage on digs, 5-3 in blocks and 10-1 on service aces.

Beller posted 12 kills for Wayne State followed by Brahmer with 11.  Cada accounted for a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs to go with three service aces.  Setter Rachel Walker also had another double-double with 31 assists and 11 digs along with two aces.

Senior libero Jessie Brandl had a team-high 17 digs with Jordan McCormick adding 12 and sophomore Havyn Heinz 10. 

The Wildcats will be at home next weekend hosting the University of Mary Friday at 6 p.m. and Minot State Saturday in a 1 p.m. contest.
