WAKEFIELD, Neb. -- A theatre in northeast Nebraska is helping spread some holiday cheer.

The Little Red Hen Theatre in Wakefield is holding its annual Christmas show next weekend.

The theatre has held a Christmas show every year since 1993.

Adam Goos, the managing director for the theatre, said this year's show will be different compared to the years past.

"It's kind of like those old variety shows you used to see growing up at Christmas," Goos said. "It's part Christmas concert, part theatre, part stage scenes with a lot of guests coming."

The special musical guests include the Wakefield Bell Choir, the Siouxland Discovery Chorus, and Wayne native Tegan Nissen.

The show will feature live performances of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

Musical performances will feature classic Christmas songs such as "O Holy Night" and "Winter Wonderland."

Goos said the show is a great way to celebrate the holiday season in northeast Nebraska.

"Christmas is the time to get together and celebrate with friends and family and as a community," Goos said. "I find watching live performances together really helps bring people together and find that real meaning and spirit of Christmas."

Shows will be held on Dec. 9 and 10 at 7:00 p.m. and Dec. 11 at 2:00 p.m.
