NORFOLK, Neb. -- The gift of giving is alive and well in northeast Nebraska.

On Wednesday CalmWater Financial donated $7,000 to US92's "Christmas Wishes" program.

"Christmas Wishes" is put on every year by the country station, which aims to help community members in northeast Nebraska.

These wishes are submitted to the station with a person or family in mind by US92's listeners, explaining why the wish should be granted and what they'd like the recipient to receive. US92 then works with sponsors to "grant" the wish in a variety of forms including, but not limited to gas cards, toys for children, and even new beds.

CalmWater's donation of $7,000 was specifically chosen to cover as many of US92's wishes as possible.

Adrienne Synovec, an assistant with CalmWater said the company's goal was to make a positive impact in the community they are a part of.

"Our goal was to hit as many people on the US92 wish-list as we could," Synovec said. "We have a committee called CalmWater Cares...and that's truly what we are all about. Our hearts are deeply rooted in the community and we really care about helping residents in the community."
