NORFOLK, Neb. -- North Fork Area Transit will be providing an update to the City of Norfolk Tuesday evening.
According to the Norfolk City Council agenda, the transit service will be providing a "discussion of operational and financial status" as a special item Tuesday.
It comes as NFAT ceased operations indefinitely on Jan. 6, due to a lack of funding, after it was discovered that their former general manager, Jeff Stewart, was accused of embezzling $740 thousand dollars.
The discussion with NFAT has the potential to go into a closed session if needed. The city's meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. this Tuesday.
