Sleds and smiles: Norfolk embraces snow day

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Many Nebraska students got at least one day off school this week due to the winter weather.

Some in the Norfolk area decided to take their sleds and head for the hills.

Of the group of 11 kids we spoke to at Skyview Park on Thursday, all were thrilled to be able to make what would have been an ordinary school day into a day of fun.

The group planned to make the most out of the hill for a few hours before heading back to the warmth of their homes for a cup of hot chocolate.
