Norfolk man with active arrest warrant arrested on suspicion of meth possession

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Norfolk man, with an active arrest warrant, was arrested for a meth charge after trying to hide behind a tree.
The Norfolk Police Department said that around 3:40 p.m. on Sunday, they were called to Riverside Bld. and Alaska Ave. for a man with an active arrest warrant.
Authorities identified the man as 31-year-old Jeffrey Hoadley.
NPD said that Hoadley saw the arriving officers and tried to hide himself behind a tree.
The officers reportedly spoke to him and took him into custody.
According to NPD, officers found a glass pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine on the ground where Hoadly was standing.
He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Hoadley was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
