NORFOLK, Neb. -- The Norfolk Family YMCA was closed Wednesday as workers moved in new workout equipment into the facility.

The facility got 84 new pieces of cardio equipment with about 10 new pieces of weight equipment.

Executive Director, Randy Hagedorn, said that the facility likes to update its cardio equipment at least every 4 years to give its members the best experience.

"What I was told is that the screens are going to be bigger, and you're going to be able to find all different types of workouts," Hagedorn said. "It's just something I think is going to be exciting for the members. We love our members. We know they have other options in town, and places to go. So, we want to spoil them."

The new equipment is mostly made up of Techno Gym branded items, which brings newer features to working out.

All of the out dated equipment will be traded back in for value to help curb the new equipment's costs.

The YMCA is expected to be back open to the public on Thursday with the new equipment ready for use.

More equipment will be worked in through Friday until all of the new machinery is in.
