OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha Skutt made history in the Class B state soccer championship, while also denying Bennington a shot at their own chance at marking their names down in the record books.

Skutt defeated the Badgers, 3-1, giving the SkyHawks a fourth straight state title. The win also ended Bennington's attempts at an undefeated season.

The two teams had met earlier in the season, with Bennington coming out on top, 5-2.

On Tuesday, the SkyHawks jumped on the board early with a sixth-minute goal from Dylan Toth.

Bennington tied it early in the second half, but Aidan Trumm put Skutt back on top in the 51st minute.

With under 10 minutes to play, Blake Pflaum buried a free kick from 20 yards out to seal the game for the SkyHawks.

Skutt is the first boys soccer program in Nebraska high school history to win four straight state championships.
