NORFOLK, Neb. -- An 81-year-old northeast Nebraska man was arrested Sunday after allegedly threatening another man with scissors.

Shortly before 5:00 p.m., Norfolk Police were called to an apartment in the 1700 block of Pasewalk Avenue for a disturbance.

During their investigation, officers were told that 81-year-old David Cubillos of Norfolk approached a resident's door and knocked loudly on it, yelling for a man to exit the apartment.

A woman in the apartment reportedly cracked open the door and saw Cubillos holding a pair of scissors. Another man walking in the hall toward the apartment reportedly spotted Cubillos holding the scissors, as well.

According to the man walking in the hallway, Cubillos then turned toward him and verbally threatened him with them before walking toward him.

The man in the hallway then struck Cubillos, causing him to fall to the floor and drop the scissors, according to NPD.

Cubillos was arrested for terroristic threats and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
