NORFOLK, Neb. -- A celebration featuring live music, fun activities, and mimosas is making its return to Northeast Nebraska.

The event begins at 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. in downtown Norfolk. The event will feature a number of things for participants to enjoy from food trucks, different flavored mimosas, and other beverages for non-mimosa drinkers.

Restaurants and businesses along Norfolk Ave. will also be open for participants to enjoy. Entry to the event is free with a portion of the proceeds made from sales going to benefit pediatrics at Midtown Health Center.

Co-host of local radio station US92's morning show, Caelan Debban made the announcement of the event's return on Tuesday. He said the event is a unique experience that must be seen in person.

"I don't think I've heard anything like Mimosa Fest before coming to Norfolk," Debban said. "I think it's just really cool that we've got the capability to have an event like this - almost like a giant block party, all day long.

In addition to the drinks, live music will also be featured during Mimosa Fest. Performances include the Transplants, Collin & Matthew of the Begats, Ember & Oak, Neon Lights, Mr. Hand, Trinn Kneifl, Emma Tyler Acoustic, and Frippery.

"That's kind of the best part," Debban said. "We want to have a big event to have live local artists be able to put their music on display."

Performances will take place on Third and Second Streets throughout the event's duration.

Those coming should bring lawn chairs if they want to sit down during the event.

Participants can also order a "Bottomless Mimosa" VIP wristband for $35 which will allow them to order as many Mimosa as they want, one at a time.

These passes are limited and can be purchased here.
