Big Bang Boom's Boomfest rocks Norfolk on Sunday night
NORFOLK, Neb. -- After a 24-hour wait, one of the largest fireworks displays in Nebraska made its triumphant appearance.
Big Bang Boom's Boomfest was rescheduled from Saturday due to weather, but viewers from across the region were able to unite Sunday night and get July started off with a bang (and a boom).
“I think the people that do this are just absolutely incredible,” spectator Angel Santiago said. “Just to put on a show for everyone that just can’t really buy fireworks to be honest.”
Thousands of people from across the country showed up to Skyview Park in Norfolk, with an eye on starting off the 4th of July holiday.
“Thank you so much for all the sponsors and for everybody that has donated money to this awesome cause,” spectator Sarah Beeson said. “It is really nice to see the whole community get together. People come from towns near and far, coming a lot of miles just to come see this.”
