Two arrested near Norfolk for disturbance, shots fired at bar

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A bar argument and shots being fired led to the arrests of two men near Norfolk.
The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said a deputy was in the area of the County Line Bar on the Off Road Ranch property, southeast of Norfolk, when a disturbance was reported at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. The deputy reportedly heard gunshots and called for assistance.
Officers said a group of reportedly intoxicated customers at the bar got into an argument and 41-year-old Donte Jackson, of Indiana, allegedly said he was going to shoot multiple people.
According to authorities, Jackson took out a pistol and pointed it at another mans face. Another person reportedly hit Jackson in the back and knocked the pistol from his hand.
Police said the pistol then went off but no one was hit. Jackson was taken into custody and charged for terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. The pistol was also recovered and was reported to be a 9mm pistol that was fully loaded.
Officials said 22-year-old Jacob Finley, of Alabama, was also involved in the disturbance. Finley reportedly ran from the scene and a TASER device was used on him. He was charged for disturbing the peace and obstructing a police officer.
SCSO said Jackson and Finley were treated for any injuries and cleared by Norfolk Fire and Rescue.
The Norfolk Police Division, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Nebraska State Patrol were also at the scene.
