PLAINVIEW, Neb. – Multiple people were hospitalized after a northeast Nebraska crash Tuesday morning.

Multiple agencies were called to the scene of the two-vehicle accident on Highway 20 near Plainview just before 11:30 a.m.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, which was assisting with the crash, two vehicles and five people were involved in the accident near Husker Ag.

Troopers on scene said multiple people in the two vehicles were transported to local hospitals, though they could not confirm the exact number of people injured. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening, according to NSP.

The preliminary investigation indicated that drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

The cause of the crash has not yet been released.

Traffic was impacted on Highway 20 following the crash, with flow returning to normal by 1:00 p.m.
