NORFOLK, Neb. -- An air quality alert was issued for eastern and central Nebraska by the Department of Health and Human Services.
The advisory was issued for Wednesday and Thursday.
Smoke associated from the Canadian wildfires has been effecting parts of Nebraska for the last few months.
An advisory of possible moderate to unhealthy air quality index impacts may occur in northeastern and central Nebraska; potentially effecting Beatrice, Columbus, Fremont, Grand Island, Hastings, Hebron, Lincoln, Norfolk, Omaha, O'Neill, Wayne, and surrounding areas during from the afternoon of Wednesday to Thursday afternoon.
