Norfolk man arrested for third-degree domestic assault over weekend

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Authorities said they were called to a Norfolk home for a physical disturbance between a man and woman on Sunday.
Around 9:12 p.m., the Norfolk Police Division said when they arrived to the home, they spoke with the woman.
The woman reportedly told authorities that 41-year-old Thomas Voichoskie of Norfolk, had assaulted her.
NPD said the woman told them Voichoskie had been drinking alcohol and started to yell at her, and then hit her several times.
Police said the victim had red raised marks on her left arm, as well as fresh bruising on her left ribs.
The victim reportedly gave the officers an audio recording of the incident.
NPD officers said they spoke with Voichoskie about the incident, and arrested him for third-degree domestic assault.
He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
